The journal Siyasah wa Qanuniyah is published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Ma'had Aly Raudhatul Ma'arif, North Aceh, Indonesia, Takhassus Fiqh Wa Ushuluhu with a concentration in Fiqh siyasah wa Qanun. This journal contains research articles that answer actual political and legal problems by referring to trusted Islamic fiqh and Ushul fiqh theories within the scope of the mazhab. Article submission in this journal is addressed to the website jurnal.mahadalyraudhatulmaarif.ac.id. Complete information for article submission and article writing instructions are available in each issue. Submitted articles will go through a selection process of editors and reviewers. This Siyasah Wa Qanuniyah journal is a scientific and reference journal that provides official sources of information for the general public, scholars, academics, and professionals in the field of Islamic law. This journal is published in print and online which can be downloaded for free. Published regularly twice a year.

This journal is expected to contribute to academics in studying Islamic law, especially in the field of Fiqh Siyasah both from the aspect of Islamic law and constitutional law that has been applied in Indonesia. This journal has been a CrossRef Member since 2023. Therefore, all articles published in this journal will have a unique DOI number.

The scope of scientific articles published in this journal is a broad topic in the field of Islamic Law and Islamic Constitutional Law (Siyasah). As such, the journal covers specialized Islamic law studies such as Islamic Political Science, Islamic Political Development, Islamic Political Theory, Political Philosophy, and Sharia-based Practical Politics. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars from related disciplines.

Vol. 4 No. 1 (2026): Siyasah Wa Qanuniyah

Volume 4, No.1 explores the intersection between the fundamental values of Islamic politics and the challenges of modern constitutional law. This issue features six strategic studies examining the substantive integration of Islamic criminal law within the framework of a constitutional state, as well as the application of the principle of justice in resolving public cases, such as the application of Diyat and Ta’zir penalties in cases of negligence regarding free nutrition programs. This volume also critically discusses the dynamics of leadership and public policy. The articles presented analyze a comparison of the Imamah (Al-Mawardi) and Asabiyyah (Ibn Khaldun) theories of leadership, highlight the significance of consultation as an antidote to modern autocracy, and critique the politicization of election-related social assistance from the perspective of maslahah mursalah. Finally, this volume addresses sociocultural phenomena by analyzing pre-wedding photography practices in North Aceh using the Shafi’i fiqh approach and local Qanun.
