Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submitted manuscript has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to Editors).
  • Submission file in Microsoft Word document format with .docx format
  • Where available, URLs for references have been provided.
  • Articles are written using A4 paper with a top and left size of 4 cm and bottom and right size of 3 cm using single spacing (1.0); using 12-point Book Antiqua font; using italics, not underlining (except for URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at appropriate points, not at the end.
  • Articles adhere to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Enhancing Publication Quality: Journal Siyasah Wa Qanuniyah

Effective from July 2024, Journal Siyasah Wa Qanuniyah is committed to maintaining a high standard of publication quality. Authors are required to comply with the following updated regulations. The journal publishes two issues annually, in June and December, with only selected articles featured in each issue.

Submission Process

Article Requirements

  1. Originality and Authenticity
    • Articles must be scientific (research-based), original, and not under review or published elsewhere.
    • Authors are required to sign a statement of originality during submission.
  2. Scope Compliance
    • Submitted articles must align with the journal's focus and scope.
    • Translations of previously published manuscripts are not accepted.

Formatting Guidelines

  1. Language Options
    • Articles may be written in Indonesian, English, or Arabic.
    • Writing must exhibit clarity and grammatical accuracy.
  2. Article Length and Format
    • Word count: 5,000–10,000 words.
    • Spacing: 1 line spacing.
    • Font: Book Antiqua, size 12.
    • Paper size: A4 with margins of 2 cm on all sides.
  3. Blind Review Compliance
    • Remove identifying information (e.g., author names, email addresses) from the manuscript to ensure a blind peer-review process.

Submission Confirmation

  • After submitting the manuscript online, authors should email the editorial office at [email protected] with the following:
    1. A short biography.
    2. A signed statement of originality.

Abstract Requirements

  • Abstracts must be written in Indonesian and English.
  • Content must include:
    1. A general context followed by specific background information.
    2. Clear descriptions of the purpose, methods, core findings, and conclusions.
    3. Any novel or significant contributions of the research.
  • The abstract should:
    • Be a single paragraph of fewer than 250 words.
    • Avoid citations and uncommon abbreviations.

Articles

This section contains original research articles that have never been published before and are not currently under evaluation in other journals. Articles should make a significant scientific contribution to the field of study that is the focus of this journal. Manuscripts are written systematically with a general structure: introduction, method, results and discussion, and conclusion. Each article will go through a double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers.

Authors are expected to include a relevant bibliography and follow a predetermined journal writing template.

Book Review

This section contains critical reviews of recent books relevant to the focus and scope of the journal. Reviews can include analysis of the content, approach, methodology, scientific contribution, and relevance of the book to the development of certain fields of study.

The reviewer is expected to convey an objective assessment, include complete bibliographic information, and provide clear arguments regarding the advantages and disadvantages of the book being reviewed.

The book reviewed should be published within the last 5 years and not be the author's own work.
